Venetian Risotto

Rinse rice stewed in onion broth with garlic, ham, peas and spices, served with grated cheddar cheese.

Procedure:
1. Rinse the rice several times in a colander with warm water and let it drain
2. Cut the peeled onion and garlic into small pieces, the ham into small cubes
3. In a saucepan, heat the butter, add the onion, garlic and ham, fry briefly, then add the rinsed rice, peas and pour a reasonable amount of broth, salt, pepper and simmer over low heat until tender
4. Serve the finished risotto sprinkled with grated cheddar cheese.
