Ricotta Tiramisu

Sweet Italian dessert made of sponge cake, cream, coffee, sugar and ricotta cheese.


1 cup ricotta cheese 1 package 250 ml of strong instant or drip coffee 200 ml of whipping cream 1 tbsp of rum 1 tbsp cocoa for garnish 1-2 tsp sugar


1. Whip the cream until stiff
2. Gently stir in the ricotta and sugar and mix a smooth cream which you divide into two equal parts
3. Prepare the coffee and flavour it with rum
4. Layer half of the sponge cakes in a bowl and pour half of the coffee and rum over them and cover with half of the cream, then layer the other half of the sponge cakes, drizzle with the remaining coffee and finally cover with the remaining cream
5. Garnish the tiramisu with cocoa, cover with cling film and leave in the fridge to set, preferably until the next day.


Ricotta is a mildly creamy cheese made from heat-treated, sweet whey. It is low in fat, high in calcium and contains very little salt.
