Traditional old Czech side dish made of mashed potatoes thickened with starch, the mash formed into rolls, from them individual kluski, those preserved in salted water.
Kluski are excellent as a side dish to various meats and sauces, but can also be served as a main course. Kluski can be accompanied by fried onions, topped with crackling. In the past, kluski were also prepared sweet. They are great with cottage cheese and soft fruits such as raspberries, strawberries, blueberries … they can also be sprinkled with cocoa and spread with melted butter, etc.
