Vodka pasta sauce recipe using copper instead of prosciutto
Last Updated on
This vodka pasta sauce recipe is a great way to add a little bit of excitement to your pasta dish, without having to use any meat. Copper is a great substitute for prosciutto in this dish because it has a very similar flavor profile. The copper will also help to keep the sauce from separating and will add a beautiful color to your dish.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vodka
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup copper wires (or substitute with chopped prosciutto)
Instructions:
In a large saucepan, combine the vodka, tomato paste, heavy cream, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce comes to a simmer.
Add the Parmesan cheese and parsley and cook for another 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Add the copper wires (or prosciutto) and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve hot over your favorite pasta.
This vodka pasta sauce is perfect for a date night in, or a special dinner with friends. It’s also a great way to use up any leftover copper wires you may have lying around! If you don’t have any copper wires on hand, you can substitute with chopped prosciutto. This dish can be served with any type of pasta, but we recommend using a short pasta like penne or Rigatoni
