Turkey lunch meat with sandwiches in a cream sauce recipe
Last Updated on
This recipe is perfect for lunch or a quick dinner. It uses turkey lunch meat, which is usually very lean and has little fat. The cream sauce helps to moisten the sandwiches and add flavor. You can use any type of bread, but I prefer a sourdough or a wheat bread. If you have leftovers, this recipe can be easily doubled or tripled.
To make the cream sauce, simply combine equal parts of mayonnaise and sour cream. Add in some diced onion, garlic powder, and salt to taste. I like to add a bit of Dijon mustard to mine as well. You can also add in some chopped fresh herbs, like chives or parsley.
To assemble the sandwiches, start by spreading some of the sauce on the bread. Add on a few slices of turkey lunch meat. I like to add some thinly sliced cucumber and tomato as well. Close up the sandwich, cut in half, and serve immediately.
This recipe is perfect for a quick and easy lunch. The cream sauce really makes the sandwiches moist and flavorful. The tomato and cucumber add a nice crunch. If you have leftovers, simply reheat in the microwave or enjoy cold
