I cook this soup regularly in autumn when my pumpkins start to ripen. It is variable and similar to cabbage soup. You can add hot peppers, mushrooms, prunes, etc.
1. I sautéed chopped onions, carrots and garlic in a bit of lard. 2. I added various sausages cut into half-rounds. I poured boiling water over them and let them cook. 3. While it was cooking, I grated a cleaned and seeded pumpkin. I peeled and diced the potatoes. I added the Vegetable Recipes to the boiling soup. Seasoned, salted and cooked until tender. 4. I seasoned with vinegar and cream and let it come to a boil before bringing to a simmer. 5. I served with a dollop of sour cream and a sprig of fresh dill.
