Taco Soup recipe with too much tomato sauce

This is a delicious and easy recipe for taco soup that is perfect for any night of the week. It is packed with flavor and has just the right amount of spice. The best part about this soup is that it can be made in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional toppings:
Shredded cheese
Sour cream
Diced avocado
Fresh cilantro
Instructions:
In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat and remove from the pot. Add the onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, and cumin. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Bring the soup to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. To serve, ladle the soup into bowls and top with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, and fresh cilantro.
Notes:
This soup can also be made in the crockpot: Place all of the ingredients in the crockpot and stir to combine. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours. This soup freezes well. Let it cool completely and then store in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months
