Our favourite yellow spread

Place the red lentils in boiling water and cook for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, hard boil the eggs (10 minutes)

Drain the cooked lentils, let them cool. Add butter, egg yolks from boiled eggs, turmeric, lemon juice and a little salt. Stir or blend. Chop the cooked egg whites finely and add to the spread.

You can also add fresh herbs, e.g. parsley or coriander.
