ingrediencie
1 pk carrots 1 pk parsley 2 pk thicker sliced English bacon 3 pk garlic cloves 5 pk cloves 1 pk smaller onion 1 tbsp olive oil 1 pk cooking cream 1 pk dried chilli pepper 2.5 litres chicken stock 100 g lentils 5 pk smaller potatoes 2 pk bay leaves to taste salt, freshly ground black pepper to taste parsley
step
1. Soak the lentils in water beforehand and after at least an hour or so, drain and rinse them under water (I changed the water twice during that time). Slice the carrots and parsley into rounds and halve those, slice the garlic, dice the bacon, halve the potatoes and chop the peppers. 2. Peel the onion and prick the cloves into it. Fry the garlic in olive oil, add the bacon and fry. Add the carrots, parsley and onions and sauté. Pour in the stock (or water and when it boils throw in the bouillon cubes), add the strained lentils and bay leaves. 3. Season with salt and pepper. After 10 – 15 min. add the potatoes and cook until tender. Towards the end, mix the cream with a little soup in a small bowl and add to the pot. Simmer for a few more min, sprinkle with the parsley, add the paprika, add more salt or pepper if needed and eat :).
