Spaghetti ravacotti recipe

To make spaghetti ravacotti, you’ll need:
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package (16 oz) spaghetti
Shredded cheese (optional)
To make the sauce, start by browning the ground beef in a large pot. Once the beef is cooked through, add in the onion and green pepper and cook until softened. Then, add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, basil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce. Mix together until coated. Serve with shredded cheese on top, if desired
