Last Updated on
ingredients
100 g semi-coarse flour 150 g coarse flour 15 g fresh yeast 125 ml lukewarm milk 1 pk egg 20 g melted butter 12 pk strawberries a little melted butter to taste cocoa, ground nuts 1 tbsp granulated sugar
procedure
1. In a small bowl, mix together half the lukewarm milk, the yeast and a tablespoon of sugar. In the meantime, mix the flours in a bowl, make a well in the centre and pour in the sourdough starter. Add the egg, milk, melted butter and work into a smooth dough. Place it in a floured bowl, cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for about an hour. 3. Put the water in a large saucepan and bring to the boil. Transfer the risen dough to a floured board, roll it out into a rectangle and cut it into 12 squares. Wrap one large or two smaller strawberries in each and shape into balls. Drop them into boiling water and cook until they float to the surface. 4. Serve the balls with melted butter, sprinkled with cocoa or ground nuts.
