Smoked turkey cabbage and potato recipe
Last Updated on
This recipe is for a fantastic, hearty meal that can easily be made in the smoker. Smoked turkey cabbage and potatoes is a great way to get all of your favorite comfort foods in one dish. The smoked turkey provides a delicious, savory flavor to the mix, while the cabbage and potatoes add a touch of sweetness and creaminess. This dish is perfect for a winter night or any time you need a little comfort food in your life.
To make this dish, you will need:
1 pound smoked turkey
1 head cabbage, chopped
4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
Add the smoked turkey, cabbage, potatoes, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and coated with the butter and oil.
Pour the mixture into a baking dish or foil-lined pan that will fit in your smoker. Cover the dish with foil or a tight-fitting lid.
Place the dish in the smoker and cook for 3-4 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and the cabbage is cooked to your liking. Enjoy!
This recipe is a great way to use up any leftover smoked turkey you may have. If you don’t have a smoker, you can still make this dish by cooking the cabbage and potatoes in a large pot on the stove. Just be sure to add some extra seasoning to compensate for the lack of smoked flavor
