California sushi roll

100 g cooked sushi rice 300 ml water with rice vinegar 1 pk seaweed 2 tsp black sesame seeds 1 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tsp harissa (hot chili paste) 4 salmon 1 pk surimi (crab sticks) 4 pk salad cucumber

There are different variations of California roll or California maki sushi. Here is a recipe for one of them.

First, make sushi rice according to this u – https://dobruchut.azet.sk/recept/70077/-priprava-zakladnej-sushi-ryze/ In this recipe, the scale is 500g of sushi, which will make enough for 5-6 rolls, which is about 4 people. So prepare the required amount accordingly.

Next, prepare a container in which you mix water with the addition of rice vinegar. This water is used to keep your hands wet and most importantly to keep the rice from sticking to them. If we don’t have rice vinegar you can squeeze the juice of a lemon.

Prepare two bamboo mats, wrapping one of them in foil.

First, prepare a bamboo mat, and place the seaweed on it, shiny side down.

Slowly start placing the sushi rice on top of the seaweed.

Next, sprinkle black sesame seeds and place a foil-wrapped bamboo mat on top.

Turn over.

Mix the mayonnaise together with the harissa paste. Spread this mixture over the seaweed.

Add the fresh salmon cut into long slices, the surimi (crab stick halved lengthwise) and the cucumber that has been de-seeded.
