Savoury raw snails from butter pastry

250 g butter or hera 500 g semi-coarse flour al. smooth 1 tsp salt 1/2 packet baking powder 200 ml cold milk filling 250 g cold butter 250 g smoked cheese or eidam(finely grated) 1 tsp ground cumin 2 tsp vegeta, salt for seasoning

In a bowl, mix butter, flour, add cold milk, salt and mix everything well until you get a firm compact dough. Place in the refrigerator to rest.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing the butter with finely grated cheese, cumin, salt and veggies in a bowl.

Remove the dough from the fridge and divide it into two parts, roll both into a thin sheet, spread with the butter and cheese filling, roll into a roll and wrap both rolls tightly in cling film. Put in the fridge to rest before baking and cut into thin slices. Place the thinly sliced rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200C until the filling is golden brown in the centre.
