Sausage sauce

A quick sausage gravy that everyone will love – especially children. It gets its great taste from cream and tomato, with a splash of vinegar and sugar to enhance the flavour.
Ingredients for four
400g good quality slacks 1 large onion 2 dl cream 100g pureed tomatoes 1 tbsp white wine vinegar 1 tsp sugar 2 tbsp butter 1-10 drops of chilli sauce
Cube the sausages and put them in a casserole with butter. Take off the butter and set aside.
Peel and dice the onion very finely. Add the butter and onions to the casserole. Sauté the onions for a few minutes until sweet. Add tomato, vinegar, sugar and chilli to taste. Bring to the boil.
