Homemade Uncle Ben’s sauce

lard 6 pcs large onion 1 kg green pepper 1 kg capsicum 2 pcs zucchini parsley 5 cloves garlic 4 to 5 hot peppers (who wants, but they don’t have to be) 1 dl vinegar 2 tbsp granulated sugar 3 tbsp salt 1 liter of tomato puree 1 can of mushrooms 1 can of corn 1 can of pineapple
Most of all probably from my “cellar” that we use, and what we like the most, is homemade UNCLE BEN’S, which we use just about everywhere. Like in meat, on rice, pasta, potatoes, pizza, but it can be blended and made into a spread.
I put lard and chopped onion in a big pot, let it roast for a while, progressively add chopped green peppers and capers.
Next add the diced zucchini, parsley, vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic, who wants diced hot peppers, pour the puree and let it simmer for a while
Then add the corn, mushrooms and chopped pineapple, if there is not enough juice, we can add a little water.
Pour the finished uncle bens into jars and leave to sterilise for 20 minutes .
