1. Wash the plums, remove the stones and cut into smaller pieces. Put them in a saucepan, add the sugar, spices and water. Cook the plums over a medium heat for about 20 minutes. 2. The finished plum sauce can be eaten immediately or poured into glass bottles with lids.
