Roasted chicken thighs on sauerkraut

A great quick lunch, almost no work:))

Grease a baking tray or baking sheet with oil, spread out the chopped sauerkraut, no need to wring, just don’t put the juice that remains. Add the thinly sliced onion. Place the chicken thighs on top, sprinkled with the barbecue seasoning for the chicken. Place slices of butter on each piece. I didn’t use any other seasonings since we have our homemade sauerkraut that already has them in it. Otherwise, add bay leaf, whole black peppercorns, whole cumin to taste to the cabbage without the spices.

Cover with foil and bake in a hot oven at 200°C for about 1 hour, then turn the thighs over and cover again with foil. After about 30 minutes, uncover, turn again and bake without foil until golden.

Serve with boiled potatoes with parsley. They are delicious!
