Recipe using Italian salad packet for pasta sauce
Last Updated on
This is a really easy recipe for a really great tasting pasta sauce. I have been using this salad packet mix for years, and it never fails to disappoint. The best part is, it only requires a few ingredients and can be made in minutes. So, if you’re ever in a pinch and need a quick and delicious pasta sauce, give this a try.
The key ingredient in this recipe is, of course, the Italian salad packet. You can find these at most grocery stores in the spice aisle. I like to use the Good Seasons brand, but any Italian salad dressing packet will do. In addition to the packet, you’ll need some olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. That’s it!
To make the sauce, simply combine the packet mix with 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of water. Then, add in two cloves of minced garlic and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until everything is combined and voila! You’ve got yourself a delicious pasta sauce that is sure to please.
This sauce is great on any type of pasta, but I especially love it on penne. It’s also great as a dipping sauce for breadsticks or as a topping for chicken or fish. However you choose to enjoy it, I hope you love it as much as I do
