Recipe to wrap brie in puff pastry
Last Updated on
If you’re looking for an impressive, yet easy appetizer to serve at your next party, look no further than this recipe for brie wrapped in puff pastry. This dish is sure to please any cheese lover, and is SO simple to make. All you need is a wheel of brie, some puff pastry, and an egg wash (just a beaten egg with a little water).
To start, roll out your puff pastry on a floured surface. You want it to be big enough to wrap around the whole wheel of brie. Once your pastry is rolled out, place the brie in the center and bring the edges of the pastry up and over the cheese, pressing to seal.
Next, brush the top of the pastry with the egg wash. This will help it to brown and get crispy in the oven. Then, transfer your wrapped brie to a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
Once your brie is baked, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. You can serve it whole, or slice it into wedges. It’s delicious on its own, or with some crackers or baguette slices
