Recipe to make liquid Dill Sauce
Last Updated on
Looking for a dill sauce recipe? This liquid dill sauce is perfect for dressing up any dish, and it only takes minutes to make!
The key ingredient in this dill sauce recipe is of course, dill. You’ll need fresh dill weed for this recipe, which you can find at most grocery stores. If you can’t find fresh dill, you can substitute dried dill weed, but the flavor won’t be quite as intense.
In addition to dill, you’ll need mayonnaise, sour cream, white wine vinegar, lemon juice, and garlic for this recipe. Simply mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
This dill sauce is delicious on just about anything. Try it on fish or chicken, mixed into potato salad, or as a dipping sauce for raw vegetables. It’s also great on sandwiches in place of plain old mayo.
If you want a thinner sauce, simply add more vinegar or lemon juice. And for a bit of heat, add a dash of hot sauce or ground black pepper. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as necessary.
This recipe makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce, but it can easily be doubled or tripled if you need to make more. The sauce will keep in the fridge for a few days, so feel free to make ahead of time
