Recipe for making fresh cheese

If you’ve ever wanted to try making your own cheese, now is the time! This recipe for fresh cheese is easy to follow and only requires a few ingredients. Once you’ve made it, you can use it in all sorts of dishes – from appetizers to entrees to desserts. Trust us, once you’ve tried homemade cheese, you’ll never go back to the store-bought stuff again!
To make fresh cheese, you’ll need:
1 gallon of milk
1/4 cup of vinegar
1 teaspoon of salt
A large pot
A colander
Cheesecloth
Here’s how to make it:
Pour the milk into the pot and heat it over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
Stir in the vinegar and salt, and continue to cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Place the colander over a bowl, and line it with the cheesecloth. Pour the milk mixture into the colander, and let it drain for 15 minutes.
Once the cheese has drained, transfer it to a clean piece of cheesecloth. Form it into a ball, and tie up the cheesecloth tightly. Hang the cheese over a bowl or sink for 1 hour.
After an hour, remove the cheese from the cheesecloth
