Recipe for a ‘Bean Cake’ Made With a Box Cake Mix
Ingredients:
1 box cake mix
1 can of beans (You can use any type of beans. I prefer black beans.)
Water
Oil
Optional: Chocolate chips, nuts, fruit, etc.
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the box cake mix.
Empty the beans into a blender or food processor and add water. Blend until the mixture becomes a thick paste.
Pour the bean paste into a bowl and add the oil. Stir until combined.
Add the box cake mix to the bowl and stir until everything is combined. If you’re adding any optional ingredients, stir them in now.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan or cake pan and bake for the amount of time indicated on the box cake mix.
Let the cake cool before serving. Enjoy!
This recipe can be used for any type of box cake mix. I like to use it for chocolate cake, but it would also be good with yellow cake or spice cake. You can even make cupcakes with this recipe. Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly.
