This burger is packed with healthy ingredients like black beans, mushrooms, onions, and oats. Plus, it’s easy to make and can be cooked in the oven or on the grill.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup oats
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 whole wheat buns
To make the burgers, simply combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Then, form the mixture into four patties.
If you’re cooking the burgers in the oven, preheat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the patties on the sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
If you’re cooking them on the grill, preheat to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Grill the burgers for 10 minutes per side.
Serve the burgers on whole wheat buns with your favorite toppings
