This recipe is for a cake that is a mix of egg whites and almonds. You will need:
-1 cup of almond flour
-1/2 cup of arrowroot flour
-1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon of salt
-1 cup of coconut sugar
-6 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-6 egg whites
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, arrowroot flour, baking powder and salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk together the coconut sugar, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract and egg whites.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
5. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan and pour the batter into the pan.
6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.
7. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Almond flour is a great alternative to regular wheat flour because it’s gluten-free and has a lower glycemic index. This means that it won’t spike your blood sugar levels as much as wheat flour would.
