Each ingredient
4 servings Approximate quantity, to taste 1 kg of boiled potatoes, smaller, approx. 200 g of melted cheese or cucumber, cottage cheese, sour cream… 150 g of dried ham or stewed … dried or fresh garlic to taste chopped herbs – parsley, chives … spices to taste – pepper, paprika… dried tomatoes or fresh capers, peas… Salt, ingredients for cooking oil
Procedure for preparing the recipe
1 Cool and peel the smaller potatoes, pre-cooked with the skin on. Then cut the potatoes in half and carefully scoop out into deeper bowls.
TIP: Grits with bacon ala omelette
2 I put the inside of the potatoes in a bowl, mash them with a fork, add melted cheese or other binding agent (cranberries, thick sour cream…), ham or other sausage to taste, and if we want a healthier or meatless version, the sausage is not necessary, for example, dried tomatoes or finely chopped capers will be enough….. Knead the mixture well, season with spices or herbs according to your taste and imagination and you can start stuffing the potatoes.
