Sweet cake according to our grandmothers’ recipe, prepared from ground poppy seeds, egg, coarse flour, milk, baking powder, lemon zest and spices, baked in the oven.

Procedure:
1. Separate the egg white from the yolk carefully
2. Mix the ground poppy seeds with sugar, ground cinnamon and ground cloves
3. Add the flour mixed with baking powder, lemon zest, milk with the beaten egg yolk and mix everything well
4. Finally, stir in the well-beaten egg white mixture
5. Pour the batter onto a baking tray greased with fat and dusted with coarse flour or breadcrumbs
6. Bake in a medium oven, around 170-180 °C for about 20 minutes.
