Plum cake with poppy seeds
ingredients
500 g semi-coarse flour 1 packet baking powder 180 g powdered sugar 250 g butter 2 pcs egg

800 g plums 100 g ground poppy seeds 1 packet vanilla sugar 200 ml plum jam to spread on the dough

Simple and especially quickly prepared plum cake with poppy seeds, which can be made even by a novice housewife:))

Cesto: mix flour with baking powder, sift. Sprinkle into a bowl, add room temperature butter, two beaten eggs, sifted sugar and knead into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into two parts, one larger and one smaller. Refrigerate, wrapped in cling film.

Prepare the plums. Wash, dry and pit them. Divide into halves. If they are larger they can be divided into quarters.

Grease and flour a deep 30×40 cm baking tray. Remove the larger part of the dough from the fridge and roll out on a board to the size of the tin, about halfway up the sides of the tin. Spread a thin layer of jam, arrange the plums skin side down, sprinkle with ground poppy seeds and vanilla sugar.

Roll out the other part of the dough from the fridge to the size of the baking sheet and tear into pieces to sprinkle over the top of the cake. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes until golden or as desired. The figures are approximate. After baking, sprinkle with icing sugar and vanilla sugar.
