Olive Garden salad dressing pasta recipe
Last Updated on
Who doesn’t love Olive Garden? The breadsticks, the never-ending pasta, and of course, the salad. What many people don’t know is that you can easily make the dressing at home with just a few ingredients. And once you try it, you’ll never go back to the bottle dressing again.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the dressing:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Simply whisk all of the ingredients together in a bowl and voila! You have the perfect salad dressing. Use it on your favorite greens, or even as a pasta sauce. The possibilities are endless.
Here are a few tips for the perfect dressing:
Don’t be afraid to play around with the proportions of the ingredients. If you like it a little oilier, add a little more oil. If you like it a little more acidic, add a little more vinegar. It’s all up to you!
If you don’t have any white vinegar on hand, you can substitute with apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar.
If you want to make a larger batch, simply double or triple the recipe. This dressing will last in the fridge for about a week, so you can make enough to last you a while
