Old Bohemian Mushroom Crupeto

This dish is similar to a mushroom cube, the basis of the croupet is cooked groats and dried mushrooms, then onions, carrots, peas, but also bacon, crackling, smoked meat, just what is left in the pantry. In the past it was a poor man’s dish, today it is a modern dish, where croup is served in better restaurants as a side dish with roast meat, rabbit or poultry.
