Every family can’t imagine Christmas without a particular cake. For us, it’s walnut-vanilla rolls, the smell of which reminds us of these holidays. The recipe is very simple and you can prepare it even with children.
1.
In a bowl, mix together the nuts and flour.
2.
Add good quality vanilla sugar to give the rolls a great aroma.
3.
Let the butter soften to room temperature, then cut it into smaller pieces. Add the whole egg.
4.
Knead everything together into a smooth and firm dough.
5.
Take a smaller piece of the dough and roll it into a long snake. Cut it into smaller equal pieces.
6.
Roll out each small piece once more and fold it into a roll.
7.
Place the rolls on an oiled baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for up to ten minutes, until nicely browned.
8.
Finally roll the rolls in a mixture of icing sugar and vanilla sugar.
9.
Store them in a dry container. They will keep for a couple of weeks.
