New York Steaks
Last Updated on
New York steaks are the juicy, juicy chunks on plates that are served in every diner and restaurant in American movies. The juiciness of the steaks is guaranteed by the sweet butter in which they are cooked.
Ingredients for 4
4 x approx. 220g Strip loin steak* 1 tablespoon of cooking oil 2 tablespoons of butter 2 cloves of garlic, sliced 1 bunch of thyme salt and pepper
Throughout history, the best parts of the carcass have gone to the mill in Finland. In our country we have never eaten much other than fillets or minced meat. Fortunately, this has changed recently and you can buy strip loins from Lidllist or Stokke, for example.
Put the steaks in the room 30 minutes before baking. Rub them all over with salt and pepper.
Place a thick-bottomed steak pan with a good lämpö and spoon the cooking juices into it. Fry the New York steaks, fat side down first, until the fat starts to melt. You can put four steaks in a bundle and hold the package upright for a couple of minutes. When the fat has started to melt, fry the steaks quickly until brown on both sides.
Add the butter, garlic and thyme to the pan. Stir them well together to give the butter a nice flavour.
Tilt the pan slightly so that you can spoon the flavoured butter over the steaks. Continue spooning for a minute.
Take the New York steaks (preferably on prepared plates) and spoon the flavoured butter over the steaks for the sauce.
Now add the New York steaks to the pan and spoon the flavoured butter over the steaks for the sauce.
