Mushroom Kuba

A tasty dish made from torn grits, English bacon, dried mushrooms, onions and spices, steamed and then baked in the oven.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Soak the grits for 2 hours, then rinse several times and drain in a colander
2. In a saucepan, melt the English bacon, add the chopped onion noodles (2/3 of them) and the drained semolina, fry everything, then pour boiling salted water in which we dissolved half of the masox cube
3. Saute the rest of the onion, cumin and the dried mushrooms that we have soaked for 15 to 20 minutes in butter and let them drain thoroughly
5. Season the cooked semolina with marjoram, mix it with the sauteed mushrooms and put it in a greased baking dish

Serve with fresh bread and vegetable salad or sauerkraut.
