Microwave potato chips, crunchy and healthier than the ones in a bag

With so much time spent at home lately it is difficult that in certain moments of anxiety we do not get a huge craving to devour some snack type chips and to calm it without having to succumb to the ton of calories that involve a bag potatoes we propose this recipe to make you some crispy chips in a moment.
Ingredients
Potatoes for frying (Kennebec, Agria, Monalisa,….) Oil Salt Aromatic herbs and spices to taste (optional)
Step 1
Wash the potatoes well with a brush to remove any remaining dirt or impurities or we can peel them if we do not want to consume the skin. Cut them into thin slices, less than 2 mm thick, with the help of a mandolin or a very sharp knife. It is important that they are all of the same thickness so that they cook at the same time.
Step 2
Introduce these thin slices of potato in a bowl with cold water for a couple of minutes to lose the starch. Nothing happens if we leave them a few hours in the refrigerator, so we can leave this task done in advance for example, we can do it at noon while preparing lunch if we know that at snack time we will want something to snack on.
Step 3
When we are going to prepare the potatoes, remove the ones we are going to cook immediately from the water and dry them very well. If we are going to make several batches, we take them out of the water also in batches. To give you an idea, with a small potato, depending on the size of the microwave will be one or two batches, is enough for one person.
The fastest way to dry them is to put a kitchen towel on the counter, arrange on it the potato slices without overlapping and cover them with another clean cloth pressing well to absorb the water.
Step 4
Cut a piece of baking paper the size of the microwave turntable, lightly grease it with a few drops of oil with a brush and place the potatoes on top without overlapping.
Salt them, and if we want to give them more flavor now is the time to add some spices like oregano, parsley, pepper, etc.
Step 5
Cook in the microwave for about 5-6 minutes. The time will depend on the thickness of the potatoes and your microwave.
Remove the dish from the microwave, being careful not to burn yourself, remove the potatoes and let them cool..
