Make your own mustard at home in the Thermomix by following this easy to make recipe. This mustard is a great addition to your sandwiches, burgers and dips. It’s also low in sodium, making it a healthy option for meals.
There are many variations of mustard, but this one is sure to be your family favorite. It only takes a few minutes to prepare.
Ingredients:
100 g mustard seeds 100 g cider vinegar 4 teaspoons honey 40 ml olive oil 1 teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon cornstarch 2 teaspoons fine salt water
Preparation:
Put the mustard seeds in a salad bowl, then add 45 g of water and the cider vinegar.
Let them sit overnight at room temperature. The seeds will start to pre-germinate.
The next day pour the seeds into the Thermomix bowl then add the honey, olive oil, turmeric, cornstarch and salt, then blend for 15 seconds on turbo speed.
Remove the sides, add 45 g of water and once again blend for 15 seconds on turbo speed.
Scrape down the sides again and add another 45 g of water and blend for 15 seconds turbo speed, then scrape down again and blend for 10 seconds turbo speed.If you want a smooth texture blend for another 15 seconds.
Put your homemade mustard in a tightly sealed jar and keep cool.
