Ingredients:
1 cup (120 grams) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup (80 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup (200 grams) white sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup (120 ml) plain yogurt or Buttermilk
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream the butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat well.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the yogurt or buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
5. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted in the center of the cake.
6. Allow cake to cool before serving
