120 g lentils 1.25 litres water 1 tbsp oil 1 pk onion 1 tbsp plain flour to taste salt 1/2 KL crushed cumin 1 pinch chopped thyme 1 pinch ground black pepper 1 pinch marjoram 2 cloves garlic a little chopped parsley 1 pk homemade sausage

Pre-soak the lentils with water and cook until almost tender

Fry the finely chopped onion in oil, add the plain flour and fry. Pour the broth over the lentils and mix thoroughly. Season with salt, thyme, pepper, marjoram and slowly bring to the boil.

Flavour the soup with pressed garlic and chopped parsley. When serving, add the sliced sausage to the soup.
