Recipe of Estonian cuisine. Pork shoulder cubes arranged in a wide pot in layers with cabbage, onions and hail, sauteed until tender.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. First, boil the groats in lightly salted water until tender, drain them, rinse them thoroughly and let them drain
2. Cut the meat into cubes similar to the goulash, finely chop the onion
3. Put a layer of cabbage into a wider pot, sprinkle lightly with sugar, add the cubes of pork, chopped onion and finally the grits, salt and pepper, continue with the other layers, alternating layers of cabbage, meat, grits and chopped onion
4. Finally, add the bay leaf, cover with a little water, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat until tender, about 1 hour.
Recommendation:
Serve with boiled potatoes.
