Jardiniére

Buttered onions and bacon, lightly thickened with plain flour and covered with water, to which are added many Vegetable Recipes from the garden and herbs.

Procedure:
1. In a saucepan, brown the onion in butter, add the chopped bacon and flour and pour in about 1/
2 litres of water.
2. Add bouget garni – that is a bouquet of green parsley with a sprig of thyme and a bay leaf tied with thread – the Vegetable Recipes must be submerged in water
4. Simmer everything slowly until there is just a little good juice left at the bottom of the pot
5. Remove the bouget garni and serve the jardiniere on its own or with black bread.

A dish from the French countryside “what the garden will give”, in which we can use other Vegetable Recipes that grow in our garden: young kohlrabi, lettuce hearts, beans, etc.
