Dove used to be served as the main Christmas course in the past, but today it can be served as an interesting appetizer.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Soak the mushrooms the day before and cook them the next day in the same water until tender
2. Slice the day-old buns, pour cold milk over them, add semolina, a whole egg and let them swell
3. Then add the finely chopped cooked mushrooms, onion fried in some of the lard, garlic and dilute the mushroom broth as needed
4. Pour the thinner batter into the baking dish with the melted lard and bake, in a preheated oven at 190 °C, until golden and crispy (you can brush the surface with fresh butter before baking).
5. Cut the baked mushroom into squares and serve with celery salad, sauerkraut salad or sterilised beetroot.
