Hot dog sauce

Wiener sauce is an everyday classic. There’s no need to get fancy with it. Add ketchup and cream to the pan and you’re good to go.

Ingredients for four

400g good quality* sausages 1 large onion 2 dl cream 1 dl ketchup 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp cooking oilp>Tip* One way to check the quality of your sausages is to look at the carbohydrate content (flour) on the packet. The carbohydrate count should be zero.

Pät the sausages small. Peel and dice the onion very finely. Put the butter in a pan with the cooking oil. Start to heat the onion slice quietly. When it is golden brown, you can add the sausages and lift the lämpöä.

When the sausages have become a little thicker, add the cream and ketchup. Bring to the boil and the sauce is ready.
