Homemade ketchup

Homemade ketchup is much more delicious than the commercial kind. You can season the ketchup to your liking. The ketchup can be mixed with sugar.
Ingredients 4dl
1 teaspoon of good quality tomato paste (Mutti) or 1 kg of fresh tomatoes (cold).0,5 dl red wine vinegar 0,5 dl sugar 0,5 dl glucose syrup 2 tsp salt 1 pinch of white pepper
Tip: Home ketchup can be seasoned with chilli or barbecue seasoning.
Measure the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer over a low heat with the lid on. Add pepper to taste, of course, but you can always leave it out. Be careful when the tomato starts to bubble, it will splatter on the long side.
Simmer for 15 minutes so that the mixture thickens. If you are making with fresh tomatoes, simmer for an hour.
Mix the ketchup well with a hand blender until smooth and put in the jar.
Serve the homemade ketchup in a cool place.
Cool the ketchup in the fridge.
