Homemade chicken pate

A delicious fresh bread relish that is very easy to make in your own home.

Cover the whole chicken with water and boil it in a large pot.

After 45 minutes, add the chicken breasts and cook for about half an hour more. Pull the meat up and let it cool. Do not pour off the broth.

Fry the chicken liver in a little oil and later add the finely chopped onion and crushed garlic. Do not add salt.

Hard boil the eggs, peel them and let them cool down.

Trim the meat from the cooked chicken, cut the chicken breasts into cubes.

Mash the chicken, livers, eggs and sterilised capers in a meat grinder, dilute with a little stock (to make the pate spread well) and season to taste with salt, black pepper, paprika and a little chilli.

Pile the pate into smaller jars, seal tightly and sterilize at 100°C for about an hour.
