Ham Rolls in Aspic II

Wonderful appetizer, snack, light dinner or appetizer with beer or wine. These are ham rolls filled with cheese and horseradish cream and covered with jelly, served preferably with fresh bread.

Ingredients:

300 g of ham (sliced)

150 g cranberries (can be substituted with cottage cheese) 10 g sliced gelatin 2 tbsp of sour cream 1 tbsp grated fresh horseradish vinegar pepper sugar salt

Procedure:

Mix the cranberries with cream, horseradish, season with salt, pepper.

Coat ham patties with mixture, wrap, let the rolls set in the refrigerator.

Pour the gelatin with lukewarm water, let it swell, heat (it must not boil, it would lose its gelling ability), season with vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar.

Place a layer of rolls in a suitable mould (roe deer back), pour in the lukewarm gelatine, leave to set. Straighten another layer, again let solidify, continue until, fill the mold, let solidify properly in the refrigerator.

Slice the hot rolls, serve with pastries. A great appetizer, snack, or light dinner.

Recommendation:

The gelatin can be topped with a flavored pickle relish. Tip out of the mould slightly by dipping the mould in lukewarm water for a moment, then turn out onto a cutting board, plate…
