I found this recipe in an old cookbook. It is probably quite old, but very good. The cookies have a special flavor because it mixes the flavors of ginger and nuts, cinnamon. They are very tasty and slightly crispy.
1. Boil butter with sugar and syrup,remove from stove,add 2. add almonds,cinnamon,ginger,lemonade. 3. Stir the soda in a little water and add to the syrup and let cool. 4. Pour the cooled syrup into the prepared flour 5. and work into a dough.Divide the dough into poly. 6. Shape the dough into two cylinders 7. and wrap in cling film.If by any chance the dough is still soft after shaping , let it cool a little more and shape the cylinders once more and refrigerate for 24 hours. 8. Then preheat the oven and slice the rolls thinly , about 1/2 cm. Place on a greased baking tray, place well apart and bake.Bake for about 7-10 min at 180 °C. 9. When baking, make sure that the cookies do not dry out and brown too much.They should have a natural brown colour.They should be baked in seven minutes.
