Fish in wine sauce
We return to our favourite fish shop – M.V.Wool’s Mati Fish Shop, Margit had the idea that what if we made a nice old-fashioned home-cooked meal for lunch – fried fish, or more precisely, nowadays koha fish. Only, knowing Margit, it turned out to be a particularly sumptuous dish once again.
Margit fried the koha fish in olive oil and breaded it with a little wheat flour, mixing in some white wine. Finally, some coffee cream. Doesn’t sound like classic grandma’s fried fish does it! But that’s ok, because Margit’s fried fish tasted great with all the “chemistry”. Why hadn’t I thought of it before that fried fish can be prepared like a restaurant dish!
Fried fish can also be served with rice, but carrots would also be suitable. And not just boiled potatoes, but also French fries, for example. It would even be a bit reminiscent of a fish & chips dish. However, as Margit served with rice, steamed Vegetable Recipes were also a good accompaniment. This nice stone plate is the same Gastrolink plate we once served pizza on. It’s great for a variety of fried, grilled and baked dishes that are well served hot.
