Excellent goulash

700 g Meat ( pork or veal) 1 pk onion 2 cloves garlic 4 pk carrot 3 pk bell pepper 150 g bacon 5 pk potatoes salt, black pepper

The recipe for a good goulash always comes in handy…

In a larger pot, fry the bacon cut into smaller cubes in oil. Add the onion, garlic and peppers (cut into smaller cubes) and the carrot slices. Cover with water and let simmer for about half an hour.

To the Vegetable Recipes then add the diced meat, add water so that it is about 2 cm above the meat and let simmer until tender (I cooked for about 1.5 hours) If it evaporates, top up now and then so that everything is in the water.

Before finishing, add the diced potatoes, salt and pepper to taste and add more water. Let it cook for about half an hour.

If you need to thicken the goulash at the end, grate a smaller potato (finely as for bryndzové gnocchi) and let it cook for a few more minutes.
