Estonian-style milk soup with potatoes and barley groats

600 g potatoes 80 g barley groats 1 tbsp butter 2 litres milk to taste salt

Put the groats in boiling water and cook until soft. Add the potatoes, cleaned and cut into small pieces. When the potatoes are cooked, add the milk and bring to the boil. Before serving, add the butter.
