They are most often filled with a meat mixture. Ingredients: 600 g of whole wheat flour 100 g of butter 2 tsp of baking powder 2 tsp salt 160 ml water 1 piece of egg Procedure: Mix the flour with the salt and baking powder. Cut the butter into smaller pieces and add with the egg and water to the flour, form a dough and if necessary, carefully add more flour. Roll the dough into a thin sheet, cut out rounds and fill with your favorite filling, meanwhile preheat the oven. Fold the rounds in half and carefully seal the edges, place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 20-25 minutes, until nicely golden.
