Traditional Old Bohemian Easter stuffing slightly lightened thanks to some of the ingredients used. Recipe by Věra Burešová, chief nutritionist at NATURHOUSE.
Ingredients:
250 g
ham 95% meat
160 g
sourdough rye bread
100 g
coarsely grated carrots
60 g
baby spinach
20 g
butter
10 g
of basil
1 bunch
of spring onions
1 cup
white yogurt up to 3% fat
1/2 bag
baking powder
1/4 tsp
mace
4 pcs
eggs (yolks and whites separately)
2-3 pcs
garlic cloves
200 ml
of semi-skimmed milk
Other:
baking paper
25 x 35 cm baking pan
Procedure:
Cut the dough into cubes and cover with milk
.In an adjacent bowl, combine the ham, carrots, chopped spring onion, roughly chopped spinach, basil, mace, garlic with the white yogurt and egg yolks
Add the soaked bread to the mixture and mix
Finally, lightly stir in the egg white snow and baking powder
Transfer the prepared stuffing into a 25 x 35 cm baking dish lined with baking paper and place the butter flakes on top of the stuffing
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 40 minutes.
